560 Kano pilgrims settle in Madina for Hajj exercise

No fewer than 540 intending pilgrims from Kano State have been transported to Madina for this year’s Hajj exercise.

The Public Relations Officer of the State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Sulaiman Dedari, disclosed this to the News Agency of Nigeria in a telephone interview on Thursday.

He said that the pilgrims were from Tudun-wada, Bebeji, Doguwa, Garin Malam, and Rimin Gado Local Government Areas.

Others were from Kabo, Madobi, Tofa, Wudil, Ajingi, and Gaya Local Government Areas.

Daderi confirmed that all the pilgrims were in good health and had begun visiting the Holy Mosque, where the Prophet Muhammad was buried.

“Our medical team, equipped with basic health facilities, is closely monitoring the pilgrims’ health, while officials and clerics provide guidance and support throughout their journey,” he stated.

Daderi Saud that the second batch of pilgrims was expected to depart for the Holy Land on Friday.

He advised the pilgrims to refrain from carrying prohibited items and to comply with Saudi Arabian laws during their stay.
