Nigeria’s Chiamaka Nnadozie has been won the 2025 CAF Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year.
With this victory, Chiamaka has completed an impressive hat-trick, cementing her status as Africa’s most dominant female goalkeeper.
The Super Falcons goalkeeper brought home the award at the CAF Awards ceremony on Wednesday, marking her third consecutive win in 2023, 2024, and now 2025.
Nnadozie’s consistent excellence sets her apart from other top female African goalkeepers.
The 24-year-old is having a standout year, and her latest win adds to the growing list of global accolades she’s received so far.
Nnadozie’s CAF win comes just weeks after she made the shortlist for the 2025 Best FIFA Women’s Goalkeeper Award.
She is placed among the world’s elite as FIFA named her in a star-studded shortlist alongside Ann-Katrin Berger, Cata Coll, Christiane Endler, Hannah Hampton, Anna Moorhouse and Phallon Tullis-Joyce — a testament to her growing influence on the global stage.
Her club and international performances have backed every accolade.
For years, she played a central role at Paris FC: culminating in a historic Coupe de France Féminine victory, the club’s first major title in two decades.
Her consistency later earned her a move to Brighton & Hove Albion Women, where she has continued to shine in the WSL.
She put up a commanding goalkeeping performance for the Super Falcons at the last WAFCON, one of the most impressive displays in the tournament’s history.
Fans are already flooding social media to congratulate Nnadozie on her impressive achievement, celebrating her third CAF Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year award.
