Two bodies recovered from wells in Oyo – Fire agency

The Oyo State Fire Service has announced the recovery of two bodies from separate wells in the state.

One body was recovered from a deep well in Saki, while another was recovered in Ogbomoso.

Chairman of the Service, Hon Maroof Akinwande disclosed this in a statement made available to newsmen Wednesday morning.

Akinwande said that the body of a 45-year-old man was recovered from a deep well at Mokola area of Saki on Monday.

He said that the incident occurred when the man was trying to rescue a goal that was trapped in the well.

Akinwande also disclosed that the agency recovered the body of a man of about 30 years old from another well in Ogbomoso on Tuesday.

He said, “Oyo State Fire Services Agency (Saki Command) recovered a man of 45 years of age in a deep wet at Mokola area, Saki.

“Upon arrival, it was a man of about 45 years of age trapped inside a deep well. Our Officers quickly swung into action and secure with necessary nuts and the operation was carried out and the man was recovered from the well. The incident occurred when the man willing entered the well with aim of rescue a goat of which he was trapped.

“Oyo State Fire Service, Ogbomoso zone recovered a man of about 30 years from a well at Aje Ikose area, Ogbomoso.

“On getting there, it was discovered that a man of about 30 years, named Shina Adedeji fell into a well and was recovered by the officers of the agency”.
