The All Progressives Congress (APC) has reconstituted the leadership of its 2026 National Convention Central Coordination Committee, appointing former Katsina State governor, Aminu Bello Masari, as the new chairman.
In an official notice posted on its X handle on Friday, the party also reassigned Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, who was earlier named to lead the committee, to serve as treasurer.
In addition, the APC expanded the committee’s membership from 73 to 90 members to accommodate more party stakeholders.
Newly added members include Senator Barry Mpigi and several other prominent APC chieftains.
According to the party, the adjustments form part of the revised 2026 APC National Convention Central Coordination Committee and were made to reflect zoning considerations and other strategic exigencies.
The party also released an adjusted timetable for its nationwide congresses, national convention, and other related activities for 2026.
In the notice titled ‘Adjusted APC 2026 schedule of nationwide congresses, national convention and related activities note’, the ruling party said, “The Expression of Interest Form and the Nomination Form will be available for purchase and collection at the Directorate of Organisation, 2nd Floor, APC National Secretariat, No. 40 Blantyre Street, Wuse 2, Abuja.”
The party confirmed that all timelines have been reviewed and updated, in line with the party’s organisational requirements and the need to ensure smooth and transparent processes across all states.
The revised schedule is expected to guide the party’s internal elections, nomination processes, and preparatory activities ahead of the 2026 general elections.
The party emphasised that only forms obtained from the Directorate of Organisation at the national secretariat will be considered valid for the ongoing processes.
The adjusted schedule and form availability are part of the APC’s efforts to strengthen internal democracy and ensure that all party activities are conducted in a structured and orderly manner.
