The General Manager of the Lagos State Parking Authority (LASPA), Mrs. Adebisi Adelabu, led a delegation on a courtesy visit to the Chairman of Ikorodu West Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Sulaiman Kazeem Olanrewaju, on Monday.

Divine Dunkwu, Head, Public Affairs of the agency disclosed this in a statement he signed on Monday, revealing that the visit was part of LASPA’s strategic efforts to ensure effective parking management across Lagos State, and specifically aimed to facilitate the launch of its new Area Office in Ikorodu West LCDA.

The establishment of the office is expected to enhance parking management, improve traffic flow, and contribute to the overall socio-economic development of the area.

During the visit, Mrs. Adelabu reaffirmed LASPA’s commitment to collaborating with stakeholders and residents to implement the state government’s policy on proper parking management.

She noted that the new Area Office would enable the Authority to decentralize its services and bring parking management solutions closer to the people.

Hon. Olanrewaju welcomed the LASPA delegation and expressed appreciation for the establishment of the Area Office in the council area.

The chairman noted that the Authority’s presence would significantly contribute to improved parking management, better traffic flow, and overall socio-economic development within Ikorodu West.

He assured the General Manager and her team of the community’s full support and cooperation, pledging to work closely with LASPA to ensure the success of its operations in the area.

The visit concluded with an inspection tour of the soon-to-be-commissioned LASPA Area Office, where the team assessed the facility and the provision of essential working equipment necessary for immediate operational readiness.
