Their Royal Highnesses Prince William and Princess Catherine, the Prince and Princess of Wales, has extended a warm welcome to Nigerian President Bola Tinubu and First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu at the Fairmont Hotel Windsor, marking a pivotal moment in the historic state visit.

This marked the first formal royal greeting for President Tinubu and the First Lady since their arrival in the UK.
After the warm meet-and-greet, Prince William and Princess Catherine accompanied the presidential couple on a short drive to Datchet Road in Windsor.
There, King Charles III and Queen Camilla joined them for the ceremonial welcome.
The group then traveled together in a traditional horse-drawn carriage procession to Windsor Castle, where a Guard of Honour awaited.
The King’s Troop Royal Horse Artillery delivered a royal salute, with the Nigerian and British national anthems performed.
This two-day state visit the first by a Nigerian leader to the UK in 37 years and the first hosted by King Charles III at Windsor Castle highlights deepening ties between the nations. The day will conclude with a state banquet at Windsor Castle honoring the visitors.
