President Bola Tinubu has extended warm greetings to Muslims in Nigeria and around the world as they celebrate Eid-el-Fitr, marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan.
In a statement released by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, President Tinubu urged Nigerian Muslims to rededicate themselves to the noble teachings of Ramadan, emphasising the importance of piety, empathy, and unity among humanity.
The President also encouraged Muslims to continue embodying the virtues of selflessness, perseverance, kindness, and compassion, not just during Ramadan, but beyond.
“We have a lot to draw from the noble lessons of Ramadan, especially at a time like this. We must continue to abide by the virtues of piety, selflessness, perseverance, kindness and compassion beyond this period,” he said.
The president called on Muslim faithful to extend a hand of kindness to those in need, regardless of their faith, to promote unity and camaraderie.
He tasked Muslim leaders to use the occasion to offer prayers for peace and prosperity to prevail in Nigeria.
The President’s message emphasises the importance of unity, compassion, and kindness, reflecting the values of Ramadan and Eid-el-Fitr.
As Nigerians celebrate with family and friends, President Tinubu’s message serves as a reminder of the need for collective efforts towards building a more harmonious and prosperous nation.
