Dr. Samuel Mawuyon Ajose has dismissed a circulating press statement claiming he endorsed Dr. Obafemi Hamzat as a governorship candidate in Lagos State, describing the document as false and unauthorised.
In an official disclaimer released on Thursday, Ajose said the statement, which also suggested his backing for decisions of the Governance Advisory Council (GAC), was fabricated and did not originate from him or his campaign.
“This publication is fictitious, unsanctioned, and malicious in intent. It does not represent my position or that of anyone authorised to speak on my behalf,” he said.
He urged residents of Lagos and his supporters nationwide to ignore the statement, warning media organisations against promoting what he described as a defamatory publication intended to mislead the public and damage his reputation.
Ajose also issued a 12-hour ultimatum to individuals and platforms circulating the material to retract and delete it, threatening legal action over reputational and electoral harm if they fail to comply.
The politician emphasised that the disclaimer reflects his personal position and that of his campaign organisation.
