Former Big Brother Naija winner, Ilebaye Odiniya, has sparked widespread concern after appearing in an emotional livestream where she alleged domestic violence and pleaded urgently for help.

The reality TV star, who won the 2023 BBNaija All Stars edition, was seen in a now-viral video during the early hours of Saturday crying, screaming and displaying visible swelling on her face.

In the footage circulating across social media, some men were reportedly seen in the background as the disturbing incident unfolded.

Ilebaye repeatedly called on Nigerians to rescue her, alleging that she was being assaulted and prevented from leaving the house.

“Nigerians help me, I need to go. I need to leave this house, I’m being locked up. I’m tired of assault, please come and help me,” she was heard saying during the livestream.

At another point in the video, the reality star was heard shouting, “Come and open the door, I want to be going,” while also screaming for assistance.

The exact circumstances surrounding the alleged assault remain unclear as of the time of filing this report, and it has not been officially confirmed whether the matter has been reported to security agencies.

The incident has since generated massive reactions online, with fans and supporters expressing fears over her safety and calling for an immediate investigation.

Reacting to the video, fellow BBNaija star Tacha appealed to residents of Abuja to help locate Ilebaye and assist the police in reaching her residence.

“I really just want to know who is in Abuja right now, that can take the police to Ilebaye’s house. Ilebaye’s face has been ruined. I don’t even know who did it but from the video I have seen they are really brutal,” Tacha said in a video posted on her Instagram story.

As of press time, neither Ilebaye nor her management team had issued an official statement providing further details on the incident.
