The Lagos State Parking Authority has commenced operation in its area office in Yaba.
The office, which is located inside the Yaba Local Council Development Area at 379, Herbert Macaulay Way, commenced operations in May 2025.
Speaking on the initiative, the General Manager of LASPA, Mrs. Adebisi Adelabu, stated that the creation of the Yaba area office was a deliberate move by the agency to ensure a broader and more efficient coverage of the Yaba axis.
According to her, LASPA officials are now on the ground in the Yaba Local Council Development Area to ensure a smoother and safer parking experience and improve business turnaround time for residents.
While acknowledging that the Yaba office is the first area office to be opened by LASPA, she noted that several other offices would soon be opened in order to ensure a faster and more efficient service delivery to the people in the various local government and council development areas of the state.
The Yaba area office, according to a statement by the Public Affairs Officer, LASPA, Divine Dunkwu, is expected to serve as a centre point for stakeholders’ engagement, enforce compliance, and parking infrastructure development within the Yaba LCDA.
