A group of visually impaired individuals has taken to the streets of Lagos to protest the closure of the Farm Craft School of the Blind.

The protesters blocked a major route to the airport on Monday, causing significant traffic disruptions for both inbound and outbound airport traffic.

In a viral video, the protesters were seen demanding the reopening of the school, stating that life was already hard for them over their inability to see, adding that the closure of the school would compound their problems.

In response to the protest, the Minister for Humanitarian Affairs and the Director General of the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria are reportedly on their way to the scene to engage with the protesters and address their concerns, according to a report by The Nation.
