Onike Rahman, the Deputy Registrar, Students’ Affairs of the Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology, Igboora, is dead.
His demise was announced by the institution, which revealed that Rahman passed away on Thursday, September 11, 2025, after being rushed to the hospital for medical attention.
The Rector, Prof. Akinola Akinlabi, commiserated with the Registry Department, staff, students, friends, colleagues, wife, children, and family over the colossal loss.
He described the deceased Rahman as a highly resourceful staff and seasoned administrator who joined the institution as an Administrative Officer II in 2008 and rose to the position of Deputy Registrar.
He was an immediate past congregation representative on the Governing Council of the Institution, a prolific writer, public speaker, respected comrade, activist, and diligent staff. Alhaji Rahman will be greatly missed by all.
According to the funeral arrangements announced by the Rector, the remains of the deceased will be laid to rest in Oyo town on Friday, September 12, 2025.
The Rector prayed that the Almighty Allah grant the deceased, Aljanah Fridous adding, “may his gentle soul rest in peace.”
