APC scared of ADC’s growing popularity – Abdullahi

Bolaji Abdullahi, the national publicity secretary of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) on Sunday said the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) is scared of the growing popularity of the opposition party.

In a post he made on his official X account on Sunday, Abdullahi said the alleged invasion of the venue of an ADC event on Saturday is a testament to his claim.

“APC is really scared of the growing popularity of the ADC across the country, and it appears that the only response that they have is physical assaults and intimidation.

“Yesterday’s invasion of a Church, the venue of an ADC event in Alimosho, Lagos State, is a new low — showing that the APC respects nothing and holds nothing sacred, not even a Church.”

He added that “Under the APC, the Nigerian Police Force is being turned to the Gestapo wing of the ruling party.”

Recall that the Labour Party governorship candidate in Lagos during the 2023 elections, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, claimed that political thugs loyal to the All Progressives Congress (APC) disrupted their gathering on Saturday.

The former governorship candidate was in Alimosho Local Government Area of the state where he formally defected to the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
