Awujale: You’re not a member of Fusengbuwa Ruling House, Family head tells Wasiu Ayinde

The Fusengbuwa Ruling House has rejected a membership claim submitted by Fuji icon Wasiu Ayinde, also known as KWAM1, declaring the completed linkage form null and void, in a letter addressed to him on Thursday.

Recall that KWAM1 threw his hat into the ring for the Awujale of Ijebuland throne, claiming to be a “bona fide son” of the Fusengbuwa Ruling House.

However, the family is pushing back, stating they’ve found no proof of his lineage.

The House, in the letter signed by its Chairman Family Head, Otunba Lateef Owoyemi alongside five top members, stated that they received the form, dated December 10, 2025, and signed by Ayinde, but noted it was certified two days earlier by Omoba Adetayo Abayomi Oduneye Eruobodo, a purported family unit head.

The ruling house raised objections, stating the form wasn’t signed by an authorised representative, and Eruobodo isn’t a registered member of the Jadiara Royal House, thereby lacking the authority to sign.

Furthermore, they said investigations found no proof of Ayinde’s membership in the Jadiara Royal House or the Fusengbuwa Ruling House.

“Consequently, the completed linkage lineage form is hereby declared null, void and of no consequence. For the avoidance of doubt, your claim to the membership of Fusengbuwa Ruling House is rejected and the completed form is of no consequence,” the letter stated.

The Fusengbuwa Ruling House concluded the correspondence with best wishes for Ayinde’s future endeavors.

The controversy hinges on a seven-generation verification process, with the Fusengbuwa Ruling House insisting only legitimate members can contest, amid speculation about KWAM1’s actual roots in the Fidipote ruling house.
