There was tension in Tse-Kalema in Mbazun, Atogbenda, Ukum Local Government Area of Benue State as armed men suspected to be herdsmen killed a farmer, Lucky Tsetim.
According to Daily Post, sources in the area said Tsetim was attacked on Tuesday while working on his farm.
Residents have reported that the incident has sparked fresh unrest in the area, while calling on security agencies to urgently intervene and restore peace in the area.
As of press time, no official response has been issued by the authorities as calls to the Spokesperson of the Benue State Police Command, DSP, Udeme Edet was not returned.
