The Benue State Governor, Hyacinth Alia, on Wednesday dissolved the state’s executive council.

This was made known by his Chief Press Secretary (CPS), Tersoo Kula, who said the Governor made the announcement at the conclusion of the 12th meeting of the executive council on Wednesday.

According to the governor’s image maker, Alia also appointed Moses Atagher, former attorney-general and commissioner for justice in Benue, as his new chief of staff (CoS).

He expressed gratitude to the outgoing commissioners for their two years of service, urging those not reappointed to remain active within the party and continue contributing to the state’s development.

He clarified that the dissolution affects only the commissioners, with the chief of staff position being a new appointment.
