Former Senator Dino Melaye has warned Governor Usman Ododo of Kogi State to call his supporters to order over the alleged attack on offices and members of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in the state.

In a post made on his X account on Wednesday, the former Kogi West senator said the warning was the last one, threatening to match the attacks with superior responses.

He wrote, “I call on Gov Ododo to call his appointees to order. Henceforth, any attack on ADC offices and members in the state will be matched with superior responses.

“The days of ‘God dey’ are over. Last warning. Senator Dino Melaye Esq.”

Earlier in September, the ADC claimed that its office at Abejukolo, headquarters of Omala local government of the state was vandalised by suspected political thugs.

The Chairman of the Omala LGA chapter of ADC, Odaudu Ojonimi Friday, condemned the invasion.

He said, “Unknown persons, under the cover of darkness, forcefully gained access to the premises and maliciously destroyed valuable property, including tables, chairs, party documents and flags.

“This act is not only criminal, but also a direct attack on democracy, peace, and the values our party represents.

“Political differences should never be expressed through violence or destruction. We urge our members and supporters to remain calm, law-abiding, and not to retaliate in any form”.

‎He added that the ADC “remains resolute in its commitment to democratic principles, peaceful engagement, and the pursuit of a better future for our people”, stressing that “no act of intimidation or vandalism will deter us from serving the citizens of Kogi State”.
