Edo: Supreme Court upholds Gov Okpebholo’s election

Dare Babalola

The Supreme Court has upheld the election that produced Monday Okpebholo as the governor of Edo State.

The apex court affirmed the decision of the Court of Appeal in Abuja which is in favour of the All Progressives Congress (APC) member.

The five-man panel led by Justice Mohammed Garba Lawal held that the appellants could not establish their claims of election non-compliance, unlawful votes, and that Monday Okpebholo was not duly elected.
The appeal was dismissed for lacking merit.
