The former Speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly, Aondona Dajoh, has been suspended for three months for allegedly attempting to impeach Governor Hyacinth Alia.
On Tuesday, the lawmaker representing Kyan State Constituency, Terna Shimawua moved the motion to suspend Dajoh. His motion was seconded by James Umoru from Apa State Constituency.
Recall that last Friday, Dajoh, the then-Speaker, suspended four assembly members, including Shimawua, who moved the motion for his suspension on Tuesday.
The Speaker, Alfred Berger, who ruled on the motion, reviewed Dajoh’s suspension from six to three months without the usual votes on such matters.
