Olufunke Victoria Fayose, mother of former Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose, has made a public appeal for prayers amidst reports of family turmoil.

In a viral video on Wednesday, she described the situation as a “spiritual battle”, citing a threat from her grandchild to send her out of her son’s house.

She appealed to Nigerian elders and mothers to come to her aid, praying that no one would suffer to train a child only to be neglected by them.

“I need your prayer at this time, this is a spiritual battle. If it wasn’t a spiritual battle, how could my grandchild threaten to send me out of my son’s house? These children were not there when we were labouring, it’s a spiritual battle,” she said.

The nature of the family crisis is not explicitly stated, but Fayose’s mother has urged Nigerians to pray for her family during this challenging time.

Earlier, Isaac Fayose claimed Joju Fayose, the son of his elder brother and former governor of Ekiti State, threatened to beat his grandmother.

In a post on Instagram, Isaac added a screenshot of a WhatsApp message showing threats from Joju.

According to the message, Joju vowed to beat his grandmother up if she doesn’t move out of his father’s house.

Isaac, however, failed to provide context to the rant from Fayose’s son.

He wrote, “Gov Fayose son threatened to go and beat governor Fayose’s mother by 10pm. Abomination. Anyway we are waiting.

“Lere Olayinka see what your oga’s children are doing to your oga mother. Can your children do this to your mother??? Anyway it is almost 10pm. We are all waiting.”
