FCT resident doctors commences seven-day warning strike

The Association of Resident Doctors, Federal Capital Territory (ARD-FCT), has embarked on a seven-day warning strike.

The decision was announced in a communiqué signed by the association’s President, Dr George Ebong, alongside other executive members on Monday.

According to the doctors, the FCT health system is plagued by long-standing systemic failures that require urgent and comprehensive reforms.

Dr Ebong noted that resident doctors in the territory are working under intense pressure, often forced to cover multiple departments due to manpower shortages.
