Nancy Sabanti Nathan has been appointed as the Acting Head of Service.
Her appointment was announced by the Federal Capital Territory Administration in a statement on Tuesday signed by the Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media, Lere Olayinka.
The development follows the recent demise of Grace Adayilo.
President Bola Tinubu approved the appointment of Adayilo in October 2024, making her the first female and first indigenous HoS of the FCT Administration.
Olayinka stated that Nathan was appointed in an acting capacity, “pending the appointment of a substantive Head of Service.”
The statement reads in part, “Mrs Nancy Sabanti Nathan, mni, has been appointed as Acting Head of Service of the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA).
“She was appointed in an acting capacity, pending the appointment of a substantive Head of Service.
“Until her appointment, Mrs Nancy Sabanti Nathan was the Permanent Secretary, Youth Development Secretariat of the FCTA.
“She had served as the Director of Finance and Administration in the office of the Honourable Minister of FCT before she was appointed Permanent Secretary. The appointment takes immediate effect.”
