The Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, on Monday declared Tuesday, July 15, 2025, as a public holiday in honour of the late former President Muhammadu Buhari.
Ojo stated that the on behalf of the Federal Government, was approved by President Bola Tinubu.
Buhari died on Sunday in a London hospital after a prolonged illness.
Earlier, the Katsina State Government announced that his burial, which was scheduled to take place today was postponed to Tuesday.
