Fire service urges Nigerians to call for help instead of filming incident

The Federal Fire Service (FFS) has urged Nigerians to call for help rather than filming fire incidents during emergencies

This was contained in a post on FFS’ X handle on Wednesday.

According to the service, a large number of Nigerians have made it habit to grab their phones to record rather than taking action to call the appropriate authority.

The terse post reads, “Don’t film, call for help! Cars on fire. Smoke everywhere. Phones out, but no one calling for help.

“If you see a fire: call the Federal Fire Service first. Recording will not save lives, action will. Be a hero, not a bystander. Your call can make all the difference. Call 08032003557.”
