Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal, has embarked on a series of high-level meetings with key stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state, marking a significant effort to foster unity and strengthen inter-party relations.
The engagements, which are aimed at promoting peace and stability in the state, have seen Governor Lawal engaging with various PDP leaders and influencers, discussing critical issues affecting the state and exploring avenues for collaborative governance.
A statement released on Wednesday by his media aide, Sulaiman Idris, noted that the purpose of the meetings is to evaluate the party’s performance and reinforce its presence across Zamfara.
Idris stated that the sessions are designed to foster strategy development and provide a forum to address key political and state-related issues.
The first meeting took place on Tuesday at the Rescue Hall, Government House, Gusau, with participants from Gummi and Maru local government areas.
“The meetings offer an opportunity for the governor to engage directly with party stakeholders on pressing political matters affecting both the PDP and the state,” Idris said.
He added that similar engagements will be extended to stakeholders from all 14 local government areas in the coming weeks, allowing Governor Lawal to hear concerns, receive advice, and gain critical feedback from communities across Zamfara.
Idris emphasised that such stakeholder interactions highlight the PDP’s continued strength and influence throughout the state.
