Singer Akinbiyi Abiola Ahmed, popularly known as Bella Shmurda, has shared the life lessons he learnt from the death of his friend and colleague, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, better known as Mohbad.
Speaking during a recent livestream with TikToker Joblaq, Shmurda said Mohbad’s death changed the way he now sees life, adding that he was forced into a period of self-reflection and rediscovery.
Shmurda now approaches life with greater clarity, according to his statement during the interview.
He said, “RIP Mohbad. After he passed away my brain reset, everything changed. The way I see things in life also changed.
“There’s a time that our parents use to tell us when we misbehave that, ‘You’re misbehaving, right? Don’t worry, very soon you will understand.’
“I’m currently in that phase where I’m starting to understand. I have understood certain things.”
Bella Shmurda, who had collaborated with Mohbad on several street anthems, added that he is now in a phase of understanding life lessons he once overlooked.
