85 students at Igbobi College have benefited from a generous donation of new beds and storage cabinets from the Igbobi College Old Boys’ Association, specifically the 1970-74/76 set, as part of their 55th anniversary celebration.

The donated items include 40 bunk beds with cabinets and five extra single beds, aimed at improving the welfare and comfort of the students, particularly the new Form One students.

The project was made possible through contributions from alumni members in Nigeria, the United Kingdom, and North America, the set chairman, Dr. Adewunmi Bero, disclosed on Thursday.

Bero said, “This year marks 55 years since we entered Form One in this great institution. To celebrate, we decided to focus on the welfare and comfort of the students. For the new Form One students, we constructed high-quality bunk beds and cabinets for their belongings.

“We are delighted to present 40 bunk beds with cabinets and five extra single beds for 85 students. This project was made possible through contributions from our members in Nigeria, the United Kingdom, and North America. It gives us joy to support the college in this way, and we hope to do even more in the future.”

Pastor Nwachukwu Nzegwu, a member of the set, delivered the exhortation, emphasising gratitude and trust in God’s plan.

He also addressed the students, highlighting that true success comes from trusting the Lord, rather than just relying on academics or connections.
