A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Joe Igbokwe has hit back at human rights activist, Deji Adeyanju, questioning his credibility and accusing him of being an “emergency activist” with an “arrogant loud mouth.”

The verbal spat comes after Adeyanju advised Igbokwe to stop jostling for appointment.

In a post via his Facebook on Wednesday, Igbokwe described Adeyanju as a “baby in the world of activism,” emphasising his own decades-long experience in activism, dating back to the 1980s.

Igbokwe highlighted his impressive credentials, including being a Senior Prefect in secondary school, Vice President of the Association of Mechanical Engineering Students at the University of Nigeria, and author of four books.

Igbokwe also listed his various leadership roles, including Publicity Secretary of several political parties in Lagos, General Manager of LASIMRA, and Chairman of Warf-Landing Office in Apapa, Lagos.

He emphasised his connections with influential people across Nigeria and his philanthropic efforts, which he claims are often kept quiet.

Igbokwe concluded by stating that he doesn’t need an appointment, as he is financially stable and blessed with the support of God and influential friends. “GOD IS WITH ME!!” he declared emphatically.
