Gov. Abba Yusuf of Kano State has honoured the overall winner of the National Qur’anic Recitation Competition (Musabaqa), Hafsat Muhammad-Sada, with a Hajj slot for her and her mother, a foreign scholarship, a plot of land, and a cash reward.

The award recognised her outstanding performance at the competition recently held in Borno.
The Governor also gifted plots of land and cash rewards to other winners in various recitation categories, according to a statement by his spokesperson, Sunusi Bature.

He expressed optimism for more success in future competitions.

Hafsat’s mother thanked the governor for the recognition and support, saying it would encourage more youths to embrace Qur’anic studies.
