Voting in the Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government Area of Lagos State has been delayed by the late arrival of electoral officials.
The state’s chairmanship and councillorship elections are ongoing.
In Ifako-Ijaiye, residents turned out early in large numbers arriving at various polling units as early as 8 am to cast their votes.
However, many voters were seen waiting patiently as electoral officers were yet to arrive to begin accreditation and voting.
At the polling unit where the All Progressives Congress (APC) chairmanship candidate, Usman Hamzat, is expected to vote, voters remained on standby, expressing concern over the delay in the electoral process.
