Adelabu revealed that the enforcement of the state laws was carried out by officials of LASPA, the Governor’s Monitoring Team (GMT), the State Taskforce in company of the Lagos State Building Control Agency (LASBCA), and the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps (LAGESC).

She noted that the MDAs that supported the enforcement exercise, from the Transport Advisory Board were from the Ministry of Transportation, Physical Planning and that of the Environment.

The General Manager reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to ensuring compliance with the relevant rules and regulations in the parking, building, and environmental management sectors, adding that the state will not hesitate to carry out enforcement when it is necessary.

The taskforce officers, before sealing up the premises ensured that all the occupants of the buildings and their customers vacated the shopping centres, while some illegal attachments were demolished by LASBCA.

‎It would be recalled that officials of LASPA who were on a routine compliance check the shopping mall last week, were assaulted.

‎Adelabu therefore reiterated the LASPA’s commitment to the actualization of the State Parking Regulations, stressing, that any individual or organization attempting to obstruct the lawful activities of the State Government Officials will be made to face the full wrath of the relevant laws.
