Makinde presents staff of office to Ladoja as 44th Olubadan

The governor of Oyo state, Seyi Makinde, on Friday, September 26, presented a staff of office to the new Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Rashidi Ladoja.

The governor presented the staff of office to the new monarch before President Bola Tinubu and other dignitaries.

President Tinubu arrived at the historic Mapo Hall in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State, to attend the coronation.

The President’s arrival, which was met with a rousing reception from a massive crowd of dignitaries and citizens, marks the climax of the week-long series of events celebrating the ascension of the new monarch.

His presence and other dignitaries underscore the national importance of the occasion, as Ibadan celebrates the continuity of its revered monarchical institution.
