A top Nigerian church leader, Rev. Ezekiel Dachomo of the Church Of Christ in Nations, has sparked controversy, stating that having Muslim President and Vice President in Nigeria would amount to complete genocide against Christians.
Recall that both President Bola Tinubu and Vice Preside Kashim Shettima are both of the Muslim faith, a move that was welcomed with criticism when announced before the 2023 presidential election.
Reacting on alleged genocide against Christians in Nigeria, Rev Dachomo who spoke on Channels Television on Monday said, “Shettima is a muslim, the president is a muslim. Is that not complete genocide to christians in the political world? The way forward is to remove Shettima and I stand on it.
“They are displaying Islamic agenda. They want to control the whole country. All Christians should wake up from their slumber and face the Bible because these people want to make every Christian to become Muslims by force.
“We don’t to sit on it. We have seen it. Can you see this thing hanging? Look at at how it’s moving towards Kwara. Can’t you see what’s happening? Did Kwara people kill their cow or do something? And they will paint it that it is reprisal.
“We cannot continue to stay quiet because I can’t hand over my grandchildren to Islam. There’s an agenda of these Islamic terrorists to take over the country and the nation is sleeping and doesn’t want to use those who wants to help tackle this insecurity.”
