NITDA, Cross River forge strategic partnership to drive digital transformation

The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) is ramping up efforts to drive digital innovation and inclusive development in Cross River State, with a high-level engagement with state officials.

According to a statement posted on NITDA’s X account, Dr. Aristotle Onumo, Director of Stakeholder Management and Partnerships at NITDA, led a delegation on a strategic visit to Calabar, meeting with Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Anthony Owan Enoh.

The discussions centered on leveraging technology to transform governance, empower citizens, and expand digital infrastructure across the state.

Key focus areas include modernising public service delivery through digital solutions, driving mass digital literacy, and bridging the digital divide by extending access to underserved communities.

The engagement also explored establishing sustainable partnerships that transcend political cycles, ensuring long-term impact and continuity in digital development initiatives.

Prof. Enoh reaffirmed Cross River State’s commitment to adopting NITDA’s frameworks and aligning state development priorities with national digital policies, noting that the goal is to empower residents to actively participate in the global digital economy, fostering inclusive growth and sustainable development.
