The Nigerian Army has stated that there is no ongoing recruitment for the 90th Regular Recruitment Intake as circulated on social media.
The Acting Assistant Director, Army Public Relations at the Directorate of Recruitment, Captain Abubakar Umar Hammanga, made this known to defence correspondents in Abuja.
He described the report as “fake and misleading” urging members of the public to disregard it in its entirety
The statement further assured members of the public that it would duly notify the public once the recruitment portal for the 90th Regular Intake is formally opened and reaffirmed its commitment to transparency and professionalism in its recruitment process
The statement reads, “The attention of the Nigerian Army has been drawn to a fake publication circulating on social media and other online platforms, falsely claiming that the application for 90 regular recruitment intake has commenced.
“The publication is false, misleading and should be disregarded in its entirety. For emphasis, the Nigerian Army maintains a clear and official procedure for announcing recruitment exercises and related activities. Authentic information regarding recruitment will only be published through the Nigerian Army’s verified official platforms. The public is therefore urged to ignore the fake publication in circulation.
“The Nigerian Army will duly inform the public through its official channels once the portal for 90 Regular Recruitment Intake is formally opened. We remain committed to transparency and professionalism in all recruitment processes and strongly caution the public against falling prey to beware.”
