The Nigeria Police Force has disowned a viral “wanted” poster circulating on social media, declaring Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo wanted with a reward for her arrest.
According to the police in a statement on its verified Facebook page, the poster is fake and misleading.
The police said, “Fake news alert! This ‘wanted’ poster of actress Iyabo Ojo did not emanate from the Nigeria Police Force. It is false, misleading and was never posted on any official NPF platform. Disregard and stop spreading fake news. Verify only from official NPF channels.”
The police urged Nigerians to ignore the poster and refrain from sharing false content, emphasizing the need to verify information from official channels before dissemination.
