The Peoples Democratic Party’s Board of Trustees is scheduled to convene in Abuja on Wednesday, in response to the recent court ruling that invalidated the party’s 2025 national convention.

The meeting, scheduled for March 11, 2026, comes after the Court of Appeal upheld an earlier judgment that invalidated the party’s National Convention held in Ibadan on November 15 and 16, 2025.

According to a notice signed by the BoT Chairman, Mao Ohuabunwa, and made available to newsmen, the meeting will take place at 2 pm in Abuja.

“This serves to formally invite all members of the Board of Trustees of our great party, the Peoples Democratic Party, to a meeting scheduled for Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at 2 pm. Venue is 1, Sabo Ago Street, LifeCamp, Abuja,” the notice stated.

Ohuabunwa said the meeting is being convened by the BoT and is recognised by the party’s caretaker leadership.

“Note that this is the only BoT recognised as constituted by the Abdulrahman/Anyanwu-led National Caretaker Working Committee pursuant to the Federal High Court decision and ratified by the Court of Appeal in Abuja,” he said.

He also cautioned members against responding to any other invitations.

“Kindly ignore any other notice purporting to call for a meeting of the BoT,” the notice read.

The BoT chairman added that attendance would be strictly limited to properly notified board members.

He said only duly notified BoT members would be accredited for the meeting and advised non-members to stay away from the venue.
