The Spiritual Leader and Founder of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has paid a historic courtesy visit to the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), commending the agency’s dedication to traffic governance and road safety over the past 25 years.

During his visit, Primate Ayodele praised LASTMA’s institutional fortitude, operational acuity, and commitment to ensuring orderliness and safeguarding commuters in Lagos.

This was made known in a statement issued by the agency’s spokesperson, Adebayo Taofiq, on Friday.

Ayodele, according to the statement, acknowledged the agency’s transformative impact in mitigating gridlock, enhancing urban mobility, and consolidating public confidence in structured traffic administration.

The Primate also paid tribute to the gallantry, resilience, and self-abnegating sacrifices of LASTMA personnel, who work tirelessly to guarantee the seamless flow of vehicular movement throughout the state.

“The men and women of LASTMA epitomize courage, discipline, and patriotic devotion,” he said. “Their presence on our highways transcends routine administration; it represents sacrifice in service of the collective good.”

Primate Ayodele used the occasion to appeal for enhanced religious tolerance, mutual respect, and harmonious coexistence among faith communities nationwide.

He announced plans to commission a mosque, describing it as a testament to unity, inclusiveness, and reverence for religious diversity.

In response, LASTMA’s General Manager, Olalekan Bakare-Oki, expressed appreciation for the visit, reaffirming the agency’s commitment to professionalism, inclusivity, and equitable representation within its workforce.

He emphasised, “There is no discrimination within LASTMA. Our officers, irrespective of creed, are united by a shared ethos of integrity, discipline, and selfless service.”

The visit concluded with renewed assurances of collaboration between faith-based institutions and public agencies, anchored on shared imperatives of civic responsibility, religious concord, and socio-economic advancement of Lagos State.
