Prof. David Olugbade Fakeye of the Faculty of Education, Arts, and Social Sciences, University of Ibadan, has been inducted into the Nigerian Academy of Education, which is regarded as the Hall of Fame of Education in the country.
It marks a significant milestone in Fakeye’s illustrious career, underscoring his unwavering dedication and substantial contributions to the field of education. Renowned for his innovative teaching methods and research, Fakeye has been a pivotal figure in promoting effective educational practices.
His commitment to fostering a love for learning and relentless advocacy for student success has left a lasting impact on both his colleagues and students alike.
Fakeye’s research contributions have significantly advanced the field of education in Nigeria and beyond. His work primarily focuses on curriculum development, educational policy, and innovative teaching methodologies. He has been instrumental in designing and evaluating curricula that meet the evolving needs of students and the education system. Additionally, his extensive analyses of educational policies have advocated reforms that enhance access to quality education.

His insights into effective teaching practices have shaped my own approach to education.” Another alumnus, currently pursuing a doctoral degree in the United States, reflected, “The foundation I received from Professor Fakeye’s classes has been instrumental in my academic journey. His dedication to his students is unparalleled.”
