Public holiday: NECO exams to proceed as scheduled

Dare Babalola

The National Common Entrance Examination (NECO) has announced that the examination for Tuesday will continue as scheduled, noting that the public holiday to honour the late former president, Muhammadu Buhari will not affect it.

Recall that the Federal Government on Monday declared a public holiday on Tuesday, causing confusion among stakeholders of the Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE).

A statement by the Office of the Registrar of NECO signed by Ahmed Rabiu Bagwai urged all officials to make necessary arrangements for the examination as it is unaffected by the public holiday.

The terse statement read, “This is to inform that the examination will proceed as scheduled, unaffected by the public holiday declaration. Please, ensure all necessary arrangements are in place.

The SSCE papers for Tuesday are Physics, Financial Accounting and Basic Electricity.
