Netizens have urged the Federal Government and the Anambra State Government to thoroughly investigate the murder of an Anambra businessman, Ifesinachi Onyekere, also known as “Fish Magnet”.
Onyekere, who is the son of a chieftain of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in the state was abducted by the daredevil kidnappers on Saturday.
It was gathered that the businessman whisked him away to an unknown destination.
Fish magnet as he was fondly called was, however, found lifeless on Wednesday, sparking public outrage across the country.
Reacting, Nigerians on social media called on the governments at the state and federal levels to leave no stone unturned in fishing out the killers of the businessman.
A Facebooker, Ayomide Oludare, suspected that he was killed by yet-to-be-known business rivals and called for a probe into the case.
He said, “This case must not be swept under the carpet like every other case. Two things are involved, either he was killed because of the fish price he was splashing, or his mother’s involvement in politics.”
Chemezirim Godswill said, “Anambra governor should find his killers, there is nothing the government can’t find out if they want to. May the killers of Fish Magnet know no peace. Very hardworking man.”
Juliet Zita, “Look at this handsome guy that was killed because of jealousy, he did not deserve this kind of death. His killers will not last up to a month, why on earth would you damage the joy of another woman? Just why?”
“People are wicked. Social media has become an avenue to reach their target. See a young promising young guy they murdered. Don’t keep calm, please pursue and make life terrible for your killers. RIP,” Juliet Johnson wrote.
Adesoji Fabelurin said, “May you rest in peace ❤️, may your abductors and killers never find peace till the end of their lives. President (Bola) Tinubu and the governor of Anambra, help us find the killers of this innocent man. His life must not be cut short in vain.”
Rita Uyamada stated, “The killings of young people in Nigeria have become too rampant, especially in the East. We can no longer keep quiet, if the government can’t stop it, maybe it’s better for everybody to arm themselves because we don’t know who is next. RIP, Fish Magnet.
