Reprieve as INEC finally rejects petition on Natasha’s recall

The Independence National Electoral Commission has responded to the petition asking for the recall of Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduagha from the Senate. In a post on its X handle on Thursday afternoon, the commission said it would issue a statement on its position soon. “The petition for the recall of the Senator representing the Kogi Central Senatorial District has not met the requirement of Section 69(a) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 (as amended), ” the commission wrote.
