Super Eagles trash Algeria to reach AFCON semifinals

Nigeria’s Super Eagles have advanced to the semifinals of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) after defeating Algeria 2-0 in the quarterfinals match held at the Stade de Marrakech in Morocco .

The Nigerian team dominated the game, with Victor Osimhen scoring the first goal in the 47th minute, followed by Akor Adams’ goal in the 57th minute. Nigeria’s strong performance was marked by their possession-based game, with Algeria struggling to cope with their pace and skill.

The win marks a significant milestone for Nigeria, who are now set to face Morocco in the semifinals on January 14. Algeria, on the other hand, will be looking to regroup and regroup for future tournaments.
