Anambra State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate, Jude Ezenwafor, has recounted the recent assassination attempt he survived.
In an interview with Arise News on Thursday night, Ezenwafor said surviving the assassination attempt is a sign that he is destined to be governor.
Ezenwafor was sighted with a walking stick and was limping due to the event that almost took his life.
He stated that the incident traumatised him saying, “They rained bullets all over my body, but I am bouncing back”.
He added, “Today actually is my first day to wear trousers. I’m bouncing back. It was traumatising.”
Asked how he processed the news about his rumoured death, he said, “It was more a bit of a lesson. A lesson in life, to know that I can always die any day, and that I’m not going to die soon.
“Because it’s a sign also that I’m destined to be the governor of Anambra state. [I’m] very confident about that.”
Ezenwafor narrowly escaped death when he was attacked by alleged assassins in Abuja last month.
