President Bola Tinubu on Friday joined political leaders and dignitaries at the wedding fatiha of the children of the Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle, held at the National Mosque, Abuja.
The ceremony attracted prominent personalities from within and outside Nigeria.
Among the guests was the President of São Tomé and Príncipe, Carlos Vila Nova, who attended alongside Tinubu.
Also present were the Deputy Senate President, Sen. Jubril Barau, and the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Politics and Other Matters, Ibrahim Masari.
Governors at the event included Ahmad Aliyu of Sokoto, Umar Namadi of Jigawa, and Nasir Idris of Kebbi.
The event was conducted in accordance with Islamic rites and featured prayers and goodwill messages.
Matawalle, a former governor of Zamfara, gave out nine of his children in marriage at the ceremony.
