Nollywood actress Toyin Abraham has reportedly unfollowed her colleague Funke Akindele on social media and declared she would no longer acknowledge her publicly, following an awkward encounter at a recent movie premiere.

In a now-deleted post on X (formerly Twitter), Toyin was said to have expressed frustration over the incident, vowing never to greet Funke again. The move has intensified speculation of a deepening rift between the two popular actresses.

The tension became evident on Sunday at the movie premiere hosted by Iyabo Ojo, where a viral video captured an uncomfortable exchange. Funke, who was seated at a table alongside Iyabo and Mercy Aigbe, appeared to deliberately ignore Toyin when she approached to greet them.

While Iyabo and Mercy acknowledged Toyin warmly, Funke reportedly looked away and declined to respond, leaving Toyin visibly embarrassed before she quietly walked off.

The clip has since sparked widespread reactions online, with fans and industry watchers divided over the actresses’ conduct. Some समर्थ Funke’s reaction, linking it to lingering tensions after Toyin was perceived to have aligned with filmmaker Kunle Afolayan during a past criticism involving Funke.

Others, however, argue that regardless of personal differences, Funke should have maintained professionalism in a public setting, especially at a high-profile industry event.

The combination of the public snub and Toyin’s reported social media reaction has fueled ongoing conversations about rivalry and unresolved issues within Nollywood.
