The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has vowed not to be politically buried before the 2027 elections, declaring his determination to stay relevant in the political landscape.
Wike cautioned that repeating past mistakes in Rivers State’s governorship would lead to his political downfall, stating he won’t let that happen, drawing parallels with others who faced similar fate.
The minister spoke on Saturday while addressing the people of Okrika during his thank-you visit to local governments in Rivers State.
He also reiterated his earlier stance that “agreement is agreement” regarding the governorship position in the state.
According to Wike, “We have taken a decision that there is no going back as far as Tinubu is concerned, but the other one, no way.
“If we make another mistake, they will go and bury themselves politically. I will not allow myself to be buried. I will not allow that mistake again; I will not.
“I want to assure you that it’s a Renewed Hope family, and if you are not a member, we will face you in the field. If you are not an original member, not a fake one, we will face you in the battle.
“Let nobody bother himself because we will do what we know how to do. They have seen nothing yet; by the time we finish, they had better go and rest.”
