After 19 days in Europe, Tinubu returns to Nigeria

President Bola Tinubu has returned to Nigeria after spending 19 days in Europe.

The President first travelled to France before landing in the United Kingdom about a week ago.

While away, prominent opposition figures, including a former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, and the 2023 Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, had questioned the reason why the President traveled.

They based their judgement on the increased activities of terrorists and the killing of innocent Nigerians in States like Benue, Plateau, Borno and others.

Presidential Spokesman, Bayo Onanuga, in a statement on Wednesday, April 2, said the President initially travelled to Paris before proceeding to London over the weekend.

Also in a statement released on Thursday, Onanuga addressed concerns about the President’s absence, saying that the President was working even outside the country.
