Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has cast his vote in the ongoing local government elections in the state.
This was made known in a post made by Gboyega Akosile, the governor’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity.
Sanwo-Olu and his wife, Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, arrived at their polling units 06 and 07 at St. Stephen Nursery and Primary School on Adeniji Adele Road, Lagos Island, about 11 am.
The governor cast his vote at 11:28 am.
The elections are being held for chairmanship, vice-chairmanship, and councillorship positions across the 20 local government areas (LGAs) and 37 local council development areas (LCDAs) in the state.
Akosile wrote, “Flash: Governor @jidesanwoolu and his wife, @JokeSanwoolu cast their vote at St Andrew pry school, Polling Unit 006, Ward E3, Okepopo, Lagos Island East LCDA, in the ongoing Local Government Election in Lagos State.”
