Tinubu to return home after St Lucia, Brazil trips

President Bola Tinubu has returned to the country after his trips to Saint Lucia and Brazil.

The Special Adviser on Information and Strategy to the President, Bayo Onanuga, disclosed this in a statement on Sunday.

Onanuga wrote, “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu returned to Abuja Saturday night from his trips to Saint Lucia and Brazil. He was welcomed at the Presidential wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport, Abuja by the Minister for Budget and Economic Planning Alh Abubakar Atiku, Alh Ibrahim Masari Senator Aliyu Wamakko, Minister for Defence, Muhammed Bello Matawalle and NSA Nuhu Ribadu.”

Tinubu was in Saint Lucia for a state visit from June 29 to July 4. Afterwards, he proceeded to Brazil for the 17th meeting of the Global South and the Emerging Economies bloc, which ran from Saturday, July 5 to Monday, July 7.

Since assuming office in May 2023, the President has embarked on at least 41 foreign trips, visiting no fewer than 28 countries across Africa, Europe, the Middle East, the Caribbean, and Asia.
